We are seeking to quickly hire a Field Service Representative to continue to provide world-class service to our clients in Latin America.


We are seeking an individual who speaks English and Portuguese fluently, and who has had previous experience with the seed research industry, seed research equipment, or agricultural equipment like harvesters or planters.

Experience with seed research equipment is highly desired.

ALMACO's headquarters is in Nevada, Iowa. This position will be located in Uberlândia, Brazil.


The Field Service Representative is accountable for:

  • Providing information, troubleshooting assistance, and training to clients in Brazil and Latin American countries using service documentation, mechanical knowledge, or by coordinating with the United States Service team.
  • Following up with clients to ensure that their issues have been resolved.
  • Collecting and tracking data regarding machine numbers, client issues, and resolutions as appropriate to ensure seamless service.
  • Record all interactions with our customers in specific software for traceability and certify case completion.

Traveling to customer and user sites as an ALMACO field representative to provide electrical and mechanical support and expertise.

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems by completing basic repairs and maintenance on ALMACO products.
  • Installing equipment at the customer site and instructing on operation/maintenance.
  • Traveling to client sites, sometimes on short notice, to make emergency repairs.
  • Lots of travel is required
  • This role will require overnight travel and/or weeks/months away from home.

Receiving and processing parts orders from clients.

  • Delivering parts to customers in Brazil and Latin America countries if they are needed immediately.
  • Coordinating with accounting departments in Brazil and in the United States to ensure correct receipt of payment.

  • Communicates with all customers in a professional and courteous manner, resulting in 100% client satisfaction.
  • Translates marketing and servicerelated documents into Portuguese and/or Spanish as needed.
  • Assists with Sales meetings and promotes ALMACO equipment and upgrades when possible.

Job Requirements:


  • Experience in repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic, electrical, and mechanical agricultural equipment.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Portuguese to be able to professionally communicate with clients in Brazil, Latin America, and team members in the United States.
  • Spanish is highly desired.
  • Graduation in Agronomy, Engineering, or a similar program.
  • Previous experience with seed research equipment, the seed research industry, agricultural machine dealerships, or similar products is required. Previous experience with ALMACO equipment is highly desired.
  • A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record are required, as well as a willingness to travel to promote ALMACO's services.
  • Ability to work "oncall" as needed to provide service to Latin American clients.
  • Pronounced commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly while keeping others informed.
  • Flexibility and disposition to work in different environments and schedules according to client needs.
