What you will do

At Complete Vehicle you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:

•Utilize advanced simulation tools and techniques to conduct virtual validation of commercial vehicle features, including fuel consumption, vehicle dynamics, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness).

•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and testing, to define virtual validation requirements and objectives.

•Develop and implement virtual validation plans and methodologies to assess the performance and behavior of vehicle systems and components.

•Analyze simulation results to identify potential issues, optimize vehicle design, and validate proposed solutions.

•Generate detailed reports documenting virtual validation findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement.

•Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in virtual validation and automotive engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

•Support physical testing activities as needed, providing insights and recommendations based on virtual validation results.

•Contribute to the development and enhancement of virtual validation tools, models, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Complete Vehicle contributes to deliver the right Products and Services for all Volvo Group customers according to brand segmentation and positioning. At Complete Vehicle, we are a team of specialized functions with various responsibilities. The Customer Feature Verification team, which you will be a part of, translates features into technical requirements and verifies and validates these products and services. At Complete Vehicle, we are close to the end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Our teams have a holistic view of the complete vehicle and bring practical experience about the vehicle.

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:

•Master of Science in Mechanic Engineer (equivalent to Mechanic Engineer Degree in Brazil).

•Master of Science equivalent in Brazil, concluded or ongoing.

•Proven experience in simulation, including numerical model validation (preferably within the automotive industry). Expertise in commercial vehicle applications is a merit.

•Proficiency in simulation software such as Nastran, Hypermesh, Adams or equivalent

•Proficiency in programming tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Python

•Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, and NVH principles.

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex simulation data and draw meaningful conclusions.

•Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

•Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team, to achieve project goals and objectives.
