- Conduct comprehensive brake system evaluations on commercial vehicles to ensure compliance with national and international safety regulations.
- Instrument vehicles with the necessary sensors and devices, including pressure transducers, accelerometers, GPS, and CAN signals to capture accurate data during tests.
- Collaborate with certification authorities to execute brake certification tests, ensuring all requirements are meticulously met.
- Perform dynamic tests to assess vehicle brake performance and safety under various conditions.
- Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Work closely with the product development team to implement design changes based on test findings.
- Ensure all testing equipment and instruments are calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.
- Master of Science in Mechanic Engineer (equivalent to Mechanic Engineer Degree in Brazil) or related field.
- Proven experience in vehicle brake testing activities and related testing equipment (pressure transducers setup, accelerometers, GPS and CAN signals data acquisition and analysis).
- Proven experience in vehicle testing, particularly in braking systems and vehicle dynamics.
- Solid understanding of commercial vehicle braking systems;
- In-depth knowledge of Electronic Braking Systems (EBS) and their functions;
- Proficiency with tools such as Canalyzer, Vision, and other data acquisition, programming, and diagnostic tools;
- Understanding of CAN network fundamentals in commercial vehicles.
- Experience in using data acquisition systems and analyzing CAN bus data.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with certification authorities and internal teams.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, demonstrated by the ability to communicate precisely and persuasively.
- Availability to travel.
- Solid customer and end-user mindset.
- Highly organized and structured, with a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- D or E drivers license and proven driving experience is a differential for this position.
