Who we are looking for
The job is based in our Rio De Janeiro office, in Brazil. You will report to the Manager - Fund Administration (Investor Services).

Your role will involve acting as a client relationship contact for Catalyst clients, and working as part of a team to manage the investor requirements and queries for a variety of funds.


What we need from you

On the daily
The main responsibilities for this role will include assisting with the various processes and deliverables associated with the Investor Services role such as:

  • Adhering to the relevant policies & procedures when relating to the various investor services types offered to the Catalyst clients.
  • Ensure that all investor queries, requirements, and ad hoc requests are actioned within the appropriate time frame in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for a variety of funds which are received from a variety of methods. Provide additional support to the Senior Associate Director to ensure these deliverables are executed within the required time frame.
  • Review and approve all trades captured in the appropriate shareholder system and ensure the trade is within scope per the fund's offering documents. If trades are outside of the fund's terms, confirm director's resolution has been received and all necessary details outlined accordingly.
  • Approve and release the investor order acknowledgements, contract notes, capital calls, distribution notifications and statements.
  • Ensure all relevant checklists have been completed to ensure funds are KYC cleared for release. Support the Treasury Team by monitoring the payment list and completing approvals when needed.
  • Work with compliance to approve incoming investor wire payments ensuring any thirdparty or suspicious wires are reviewed and approved by the compliance team.
  • Work and assist with the regulatory teams to gather AML/KYC and AEOI supporting documents needed for those teams to action accordingly and other duties, as required, by the investor services team leader.
  • Assist in the preparation of the administrator reports for fund board calls.
  • Joint effort between the regulatory teams (FATCA/CRS and AML/KYC) and IS to ensure all new and existing investors (in the case of onboarding from a prior administrator) are properly onboarded, cleared, and set up correctly in the relevant systems.

Skills & Experience
The role requires the following skills & experience.

  • A Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance or similar field.
  • Exposure and a strong understanding of both open ended and closed ended clients.
  • Experience covering a LATAM and US client base, specifically dealing with Brazilian clients is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate (high standard of speaking and writing) in English is essential, fluent in speaking Portuguese is also a plus due to significant portion of role involving liaising directly with Portuguese speaking Brazilian clients.
  • A minimum of 35 years' professional experience in the Fund Administration industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cayman and US Regulatory requirements and AML/KYC procedures and operational compliance.
  • A Strong understanding of AEOI (FATCA/CRS) reporting requirements in Cayman.
  • Experience managing complex investor transactions with on and offshore structures from a Brazilian standpoint.
  • Expert level use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
