Your Role and Responsibilities

As DB2 focal as SW DevOps, you are responsible to provide technical insights on DB2 area, will perform business analysis, automation development and risk assessments to reduce major issues, significant service outage or disasters.

The professional will be part of a global team responsible for IT automation. The main attributes are to develop, test and deploy automation solutions, and also create standards and best practices. The work will be performed under the Agile model, in a cooperative and innovative environment, interfacing with global teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Advanced English, both written and spoken.
Experienced in IT industry and SW Development
Working knowledge on Db2 LUW (UDB) setup and configuration
Experience in Db2 administration on Linux and UNIX environments
Solid understanding the Linux/UNIX and basic OS concepts
Handson experience with creating/maintaining/optimizing a database (Db2 experience preferred)
Working knowledge on designing High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systems
Proficient in Performance Tuning and data movement utilities
Db2 administration support & development
Db2 stored procedures
Db2 installation and upgrades

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in configuring and supporting HADR environment with high availability using TSA
Experience in developing scripts for various DBA activities along with sizing or designing the DB2 databases
Knowledge on CI/CD, Ansible and Python
Knowledge in Db2 installation and configuration on Linux and UNIX environments
Knowledge in SQL replication handling and HADR multiple standby databases
DPROP
Experience with Agile framework (practices, ceremonies, Jira, Mural, Trello)
Experience with Source Code Management tools (GitHub)
