Dow has an opportunity for an Indirect Tax Analyst located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.


Responsibilities:


  • Execute the daytoday tax compliance activities regarding PIS, COFINS, ICMS and IPI including tax returns filing (EFD ICMS/IPI, EFD-Contributions, GIA, and others).
  • Prepare and review the monthly taxes calculation (ICMS, IPI and PIS/COFINS).
  • Prepare, crosscheck, and validate tax returns.
  • Review the correct tax credits and debits calculation related to ICMS, IPI and PIS/COFINS.
  • Review the formal aspects of the invoices issued by the company (CFOP, CST/ICMS, CST/PIS-COFINS, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and work with ERP systems (previous experience with Synchro and SAP systems will be a plus).
  • Extract, analyze, and review data being focused on tax compliance.
  • Document, implement, optimize, and improve the processes/procedures for tax compliance.
  • Work with other stakeholders to prepare tax calculation records and ensure accuracy of tax returns.
  • Interface with various stakeholders in the company including business partners, accounting, tax technology, tax planning and litigation teams.
  • Update and control tax dashboards monthly.
  • Help attending the Tax Audit Team.
  • Keeping up with the tax legislation updates and analyzing the impact on the local entities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics Business or a related field.
  • Intermediate English level. 5 years of solid experience in Indirect Tax Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect tax legislation.
