Job Description:

About the Role

This role will join Jellyfish's Data & Insights team, a broad and diverse team encompassing brand, data and media planners, analysts, data scientists and measurement technology specialists.

All with the common goal of using data expertise to inspire clients, partners and Jellyfish to jointly execute best in class marketing fuelled by data rich insights.

The typical day-to-day will involve managing multiple BI projects or tasks and to be seen as the team's first port of call for day-to-day enquiries.

Responsibilities

Work with clients and partners to clarify needs, goals and timings to define a solution design, covering data sources, data collection, schema and wireframes
Bring together data from different sources with potentially varying file formats, naming conventions, and columns and transform into cohesive datasets, and highlighting where underlying changes to the data sources may be required
Build visualizations in data viz tools within timelines and budgets
Conduct testing and validation, to ensure dashboards match the underlying data sources and their design meet client requirements
Provide ad hoc technical support
Work with the Sales & Partnerships team and other capabilities to present the benefits of Tableau and other BI tools and its features to prospects and existing clients, depending on their challenges i.e. Datorama, Power BI, Looker Studio
Engage in the design of collateral and processes to develop the practice further and innovate the product portfolio

Qualifications:

What you'll need

Strong demonstatabe proficiency in Tableau (or Power BI, but Tableau preferred)
Experience of working with diverse data sources across multiple channels to produce insightStrong experience in data management, ETL best practices and SQL
Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
Ability to design and build compelling data visualizations for different stakeholder levels
Clientfacing skills and ability to succinctly explain technical concepts
Familiarity with marketing data analytics and understanding of the levers a digital marketer may pull to influence marketing outcomes
Attention to detail combined with a careful approach to process

Advantageous:

Knowledge and experience of other BI products i.e. Datorama, Looker Pro, Power BI
Experience of working with data preparation tools such as Google Cloud Dataprep, Alteryx, or similar
Practical experience with rolling out Tableau, Qlik, Power BI and/or other business and marketing intelligence platforms
Knowledge of Python/R
International background; used to work in teams that span across multiple markets
