The
District Sales Manager in rare diseases, will provide inspirational leadership, clear directions and assure the implementation of defined tactics to the sales consultants to achieve performance objectives; this is accomplished by achieving field day requirements and through effective coaching, mentoring, on field training and utilization of resources aligned with organizational vision.

By developing people, he/she will drive business by observing sales consultant's interactions with key customers, providing him/her with individual coaching and feedback to develop them for success in current role and for future growth.

As a role model and a liaison, District Sales Manager will inspire commitment, trust, collaboration, and motivation for the shared vision by facilitating team communication, morale, and effectiveness within own work unit and/or cross-functional teams.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that the objectives are consistently achieved or exceeded in the territory assigned to each Sales Consultant and in its district.
  • Be responsible for the commercial team at the congresses, to institutionally represent AstraZeneca and strategic analysis of regional events.
  • Constantly analyze and interpret the information made available through Market Intelligence tools, proposing actions for growth.
  • Assessment and Coaching for Sales Consultants while working in the field with a focus on individual competencies.
  • Support and contribute to the development of the team in order to maintain highest level of technical and scientific knowledge of Alexion's diseases and products.
  • Ensure that a strategic analysis of the accounts' potential and adoption is carried out, to segment them by profile and generate customized action plans.
  • Ensure the quality of planning and implementation of continuing education events in the district.
  • Ensure the team's understanding of the qualitative, customized, and strategic analysis of the different journeys of the patient in the sector accounts.
  • Manage reports on field activities accurately and on time and ensure daily reporting of your team's activities in the company's current system.
  • Maintain and ensure by all members of your team high levels of ethics and compliance with all compliance rules in accordance with current policy.
  • Build trusting relationships with everyone on your team and with internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Marketing, Bl and Administrative areas).
  • Establish and maintain quality contacts within the relevant medical community, including opinion leaders, influencers and decision makers.
  • Human resource management for your team, including hiring, coaching, training, evaluating, developing, and retaining.
  • Participation in strategic meetings representing the sales team.
