Introduction

We are seeking a Development Manager - Screening BL to join our global Technology team.

You and your team will be responsible for delivering a sustainability focused project portfolio across R&D and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI).

Further you will build a strong link between our West region in North and South America and our screening BL teams and stakeholders globally.

Through team and network you will provide support to our region to excel in front of our customers.

Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business through projects today and tomorrow and a global overview across all our R&D projects to ensure sustainability outcomes.

In this position, you will report to Director Technology - Screening BL
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba and it involves up to 20% of travel (both national and international).

Team you belong to

You will join a team of strong engineers with the focus on sustainability and digital to support business growth.

Dedicated to R&D and the aim to bring new products to market as well as CPI to make us "easy to deal with".

We are currently passionate about sustainability, believe in digital solutions and aim to launch new products and solutions each year - today and tomorrow.

We work closely with mostly internal, but also external stakeholders, such as MA sales teams, production and fabrication, regional sales support and central Metso organizations across sustainability, digital and systems.

The members in our technology team are located globally you're your direct reports being located in South America.

Who you are

Engineering or related degrees
Strong technical ability to understand, perform and lead engineering calculations and simulations

Language skills:
Fluent English required, other language skills are seen as a bonus
Solid experience in a lead role within a design office environment, preferably in R&D and CPI (continuous product improvement)
Proven track record of leading change
Will to take ownership and carry responsibility
Ability to manage cost and engineering efficiency whilst meeting quality expectations and focusing on schedule to facilitate order execution
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously
Ability to network and interact with a wide range of people with different backgrounds
Ability to develop people and foster a high performing culture
Ability to travel regularly
