We are currently seeking a 2nd Officer (2/O) to join our team on board the Madre de Deus, a Crude Oil Tanker.
As a 2nd Officer, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer in all navigational and operational duties
- Maintain navigational charts and publications
- Conduct regular safety drills and inspections
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment
- Assist in cargo operations, including loading and discharge
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a 2nd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Valid STCW certification, including Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW)
- Proficiency in English language
- Familiarity with ISM and ISPS codes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
