The Legal team provides legal and regulatory advice to ensure that all CDC products and services are compliant per local regulations while also meeting the needs of CDC customers.

The team interfaces externally with regulators and service providers to safeguard CDC from legal liabilities. Focus areas include Commercial and Regulatory/ Product.


Commercial team focuses on dealing with complex and general external commercial matters, facilitating deals, negotiation and commercial transactions; handling dispute matters with customers and other external parties; and privacy matters, including Legal Enforcement Requests and general requests for information from external parties; the role will also be dealing with other day-to-day corporate matters, including NDA Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Service Agreements.


Responsibilities

  • Develop standard terms and conditions, clause repositories, user manuals, automation processes and training materials relating to contract workflows;
  • Drive legal technologies and initiatives in order to streamline the legal department's contract workflows;
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the contractual advisory function;
  • Work with Privacy teams across our global organization to assess applicable regulations and set corresponding company standards;
  • Provide proactive and solutionoriented legal advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders to enable the development of Crypto products and services in a way that meets our obligations as well as the needs of our customers; and
  • Work crossfunctionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks (while maximizing commercial opportunities).

Knowledge:


  • Prior experience leading contractual management in financial market entities or tech companies; and
  • Prior working experience with crypto companies is a plus.

Requirements:


  • 6+ years legal experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including service, marketing and partnership agreements either in Portuguese or English;
  • Knowledge about the Brazilian GDPR (LGPD
  • Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), about consumer protection laws and regulation applicable to agreements entered by financial regulated entities in Brazil;
  • Familiarity with Open Finance and PIX;
  • Ability to provide support timely, concise and businessfocused legal advice on contract, consumer protection laws and LGPD;
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced international environment and to tolerate change and ambiguity;
  • Confident selfstarter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment, and work well with cross functional stakeholders;
  • Creative thinker with strong problemsolving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities; and
  • English speaking and fluent in Portuguese; Spanish will be a plus.
