The Human Resources Generalist, International is responsible for a broad range of HR international functions including hiring and onboarding, new hire orientation, benefits administration, terminations, exit interviews, performance management, local law compliance, and HR projects and initiatives with a primary focus on Brazil.
Essential Job Functions:
- Partnering with managers to recruit, complete job descriptions and requisitions, draft job offers, communicate job offers, and process new hire paperwork.
- Assist with the handling of employee relations issues to include but not limited to coaching and development, conducting investigations, internal assessment and partnering with HR Business Partners, management and VP of HR as needed to determine the appropriate corrective actions.
- Prioritize and juggle multiple job openings and stay abreast of internal organizational staffing needs and Company trends.
- Hiring in Brazil and knowledge of unions.
- Create and maintain a companywide job description database, as well as maintain job requisition.
- New Hire orientation and onboarding liaison with the hiring manager.
- Process employee benefits enrollment with respective carriers per country and manages employee claims.
- Liaison on health plan renewals, invoicing, and benefit enhancements.
- Manage all leave of absence requests per country.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Gather and prepare requested information for internal and external audits.
- Assess employee separations, conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Partner with management and employees to provide advice and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management, interpretation of employment policies, and employee counseling.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.) and HR systems (UltiPro, ADP, Ceridian, etc.).
- Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize/multitask and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Must be organized, able to multitask and manage competing priorities while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to provide client service, exhibit a sense of urgency and strong commitment to quality.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions, take ownership/accountability, and operate with mínimal supervision.
- Integrity, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
