What you will do

Position:
Regional Packaging Planner


Purpose:


The Regional Packaging Planner is responsible for ensuring that the packaging availability within the designated region meets the requirements outlined in user contracts and aligns with short-term and regional needs.

Additionally, the role involves securing medium-term regional packaging availability.


Responsibilities:


  • Execute operational planning in adherence to the Global Planning procedure, including necessary adjustments between terminals.
  • Distribute volumes based on costeffectiveness, environmental considerations, and service requirements, by comparing incoming orders with available packaging and providing directives to Distribution Planning and Management.
  • Execute delegated purchasing transports as required, following the Delegated Purchasing procedure.
  • Maintain operational communication with terminals to facilitate effective coordination.
  • Prioritize sorting and washing activities in alignment with designated processes and terminal agreements. Contribute to optimizing the distribution system and minimizing costs, actively participating in Operational Development initiatives.

Authorities:


  • Ensure regional availability of standard and special packaging in the packaging pool meets the current needs of Volvo Group production sites and suppliers.
  • Prioritize proactive measures to maintain packaging availability for interfaces and users.
  • Forecast and procure new special packaging in accordance with the established investment process.

Strong Communication Skills:

Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with terminals, providing guidance to distribution planning and management, and collaborating with team members.
