Global People Services LATAM is supporting employees in Vestas locations in Latin America. Approximately 2.500 employees are employed in 22 countries.

The scope of services are related to HR Operations:
Payroll, HR Masterdata, Benefits, contracts/documentation, regional HR services desk.


Responsibilities:

Operate & develop the regional GPS LATAM team that currently consists of 4 FTE incl the new leader. The team is expected to grow as the region grows.

Process employee salaries in timely manner for identified countries, incl Brazil

Provide the accurate, efficient and timely delivery of payroll and tax reporting in compliance with company policies and procedures; maintain compliance with applicable local, state, federal and provincial employment laws within the region

Accountable for maintaining the integrity of employee data in the SAP time reporting and payroll databases; partnering with People & Culture, IT and other resources as necessary to ensure accurate, efficient and timely interfacing of data

Responsible for operate audits of system data periodically and ongoing to ensure integrity; serve as primary technical resource for periodic audits

Partner with benefits resources to provide required payroll and data support

Responsible for year-end payroll process in coordination with Finance and other internal stakeholders

Regional overview of upcoming activities and projects affecting the workload of the team

Ensure identified KPIs and initiate improvement activities

Coordinate the accurate, efficient and timely delivery of regional in-scope P&C administrative services in compliance with company policies and procedures; maintain compliance with applicable local, state, federal and provincial employment laws within the region, including but not limited to GDPR

Ensure handling of tickets, MyP&C workflows and phone calls related to the regional scope, by ensuring a distribution within the team including:

  • Handle operational requests in defined local languages
  • Handle local legal requirements e.g. towards authorities
  • Absence and leave handling, local employee benefit handling
  • Regionally required documentation,
Serve as the escalation resource for employee inquiries regarding payroll and time queries - incl. maintenance of employee files

Partner with P&C CoE on local and regional regulatory requirements for program rollout and execution of campaigns

Develop, implement and maintain current process documentation of in-scope standard operating procedures

Knowledge articles updated within scope (in KB or ServiceNow where applicable)

Partner with P&C Digital resources on developing and implementing required regulatory updates or IT enabled process improvements

Prepare non-standard contracts & other requests for support

Provide assistance to payroll administrator(s) in resolving data or reporting issues

Maintain cross training efforts and processing backup plan in the event current staff is unavailable to process activities

Develop ad-hoc and custom reports to support efficiencies and accuracy, for example but not limited to reports from systems directly or through data extracts utilizing excel macros

Ensure and develop implementation of GPS initiatives representing region for in-scope for services and activities related to services desk.

Support on benefits administration (joiners, leavers etc)


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive relevant experience is required
  • Experience in the delivery of Services in shared services environment.
  • Experience with working in an international matrixed environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and contribute with management efforts to promote adoption of new strategies and processes.
  • English and Portuguese should be mastered fluently, both orally and in writing. Other languages, e.g. Spanish are an absolute advantage.
  • A relevant business education at Master Level is required.

What We Offer


The Head of Global People Services LATAM (South/Central America) will be part of the overall Global People Services leadership team in Vestas and promote the delivery of our Regional People Services in LATAM (South/Central America).
