  • Job Purpose
  • The crane technician is responsible for the operational support, maintenance and repair of cranes and their accessories, and other auxiliary systems installed on their marine unit or allocation project. Their qualifications and experience should be focused on working in the fields of crane mechanics and hydraulics, but it is also relevant to be able to support investigations in the disciplines of electrical and instrumentation applied to cranes.
  • Job Description
Responsible for the maintenance, fault finding and repair of any cranes installed;

  • Perform safely and efficiently any task directed by the Chief Engineer, not limited to activities on the cranes;
  • Familiarize themselves with the equipment under their responsibility in the hydraulic/mechanical/electrical and instrumentation disciplines. Their understanding must be broad and applied under the guidance of the company's procedures, policies and instructions;
  • Support any inspection/intervention activity required by the Chief Engineer;
  • Support any technical specialists on board as required, but only under the direct instruction of the Chief Engineer;
  • You are meant for this job if:
Technician completed in Electromechanics / Automation / Hydraulics / Industrial Mechanics or related areas.

Desirable:
Previous experience as a field technician specializing in cranes;

  • Previous experience as a technician or crane manufacturer's representative;
  • Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning and technical investigations.
