What we do:

The Manufacturing Engineering - Prosit team has the mission to introduce products and production methods in production, in a quality assured way, with special focus on software and mechatronic systems.

Our team works with production support for the embedded software. It means working between product development and the production plants.

The team is responsible for verification tests for our plants to be able to verify and validate the electrical system in built trucks and buses.

The tool used for this (Prosit) is part of the our responsibility. Due to growth of mechatronic support systems in vehicles, this importance is constantly increasing.

The team has daily contact with Volvo plants around the world, giving support within the software and electrical domain, so it is a truly global work environment.

What you will do:

As a Technical preparation - Embedded Software one of your tasks will be verify new test operations for the Prosit tool, introduction and support for the production lines.

Tests are verified and validated in prototype labs or in plants before released into production environment.

Since the Prosit tool is part of the responsibility, some tasks are included regarding updates and maintenance of the Prosit tool.

Another part of the work will be to give support to our internal colleagues with software related issues. The work implies cross functional work between product development and the production plants to get most efficient production process.

Required qualifications:

Engineering degree, or comprehensive work experience working actively with Prosit
Fluent in speaking and writing English
Good at communication and not afraid of asking questions
Ability to take responsibility and drive items independently, but as a part of a team
Structured and process oriented

Meriting qualifications:

Experience working with the Volvo tool Prosit
Experience working with embedded software systems
Experience working with test and verification
Understanding of production or aftermarket process
