Company Overview

Through the exploration and acquisition of assets of some of the world's largest mining companies, the company consolidated high-quality deposits in the North of Brazil.

Job Summary
Overall accountability for the safe, sustainable and profitable operation of the operation.

Lead the operations team of approximately 370 employees and additional contractors establish operations and deliver on the 28-year lifespan expected of the asset.

During the Project construction period, support commissioning in the C1 and C2 construction mechanical completion and initial energisation stages, and the lead commissioning as ore is introduced in the C3 to C5 cold, hot and performance testing stages.

Recruit, on-board and train a new workforce so our team is able to competently and confidently operate the asset by attracting, engaging and retaining experienced personnel.

Coordinate ramp-up of production to be completed within a 12-month period from Project handover, which is expected in Q Be the most senior leadership representative for the company residing in the city and hence the focal point for key stakeholder relationships in the region.

Ensure that all permits and licenses are maintained through positive, constructive relationships with the community and by meeting all permitting obligations.

Accountabilities

• Partner with the Project Director and Head of Finance from Q2 2023 to complete the construction and commissioning of the asset.
• Lead the deployment of the Operations Readiness plan from Q2 2023 to Q Lead Operations activities in 2023 and onwards, including the geology, geotechnical, mining, power purchasing, transport and ports services and other operating activities that commenced or are already in progress in 202
• Recruit the operations team in the four waves described in the Operations Readiness plan. This targets recruiting at least 100 personnel experienced.
• Using the Company Manufacturing Execution System (MES) framework that aims to maximise operations

effectiveness, efficiency, team work through digital transformation, develop and deploy operations standards, procedures and guidelines drawn from best industry practice.

This will result in an optimised system of work from "Mine to Port' including a Central Control Room at the site and Remote Operations Centre in Belo Horizonte.

• Through the shared services team of Environmental, Social Development, Community Relations,

Land Access, Government Relations, Logistics and other functions, be the primary keeper of relationships with senior representatives of regulators, government and community to ensure our license to operate is in good standing.

Qualifications and Skills

• Speak fluent Portuguese and speak fluent English.
• Led a mining operations team in Brazil as the overall leader at GM or Operations Director level.
• From a technical background (engineering, mineral processing or mining). Preferably with RKEF and must have pyrometallurgical processing experience.
• Participated in a Greenfields startup and have selected a new team, established a productive culture, deployed work processes / procedures and rampedup a mining business from zero to steady state success.
• Willing to residential near the project for 3+ years.
