This new company formed by all these industrial sites, kaolin mine, port access and Hubs is foreseen to start its operation under a new brand on March 31th, 2023.

The revenue in 2021 was 400 million euros. It will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. All the sites are already working and producing. About 950 employees total.


Besides serving lots of the paper and board markets nowadays, this new company will use its global footprint, unique assets and longstanding know-how to develop new business opportunities and foster innovation.

Sustainability is a core value of this Company.


Regarding employment, the Company needs to reinforce existing teams to operate as a standalone organization but also to meet its ambitious development plans.

Branding and name of the Company are currently defined and will be communicated largely very soon.


The Category Manager will support the Group in purchasing, working close to the rest of the local buyers, operations and technical leaders.


Responsabilidades e atribuições

  • Manage a designated category or Row Materials and associated vendors across an assigned region.
  • Review reports and trend analyses related to category specific spending and current status versus goals. Perform analysis for assigned category. Recommend and implement changes to achieve cost reductions and efficiencies.
  • Identify the least total cost supplier for Company requirements, in terms of quality, quantity, delivery, service, price and legal terms.
  • Coordinate contract development with legal department
  • Expand and organize database of suppliers by type of service or equipment provided
  • Recommend major purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations
  • Understand and interpret current and future market situation for purchased materials that will determine the appropriate negotiation strategies
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry trends
  • Devise longterm development strategies for product categories
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
  • Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
  • Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
  • Manage and track budget

Requisitos e qualificações
-
English Mandatory:


  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing or related field
  • Commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles.
  • Proven experience as category manager or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent communication and people skills
