InterMoor is looking to add a
Survey Manager to the team. The Survey Manager will develop and restructure the Survey division in Brazil.

They will import and keep the equipment from InterMoor abroad in good standard working order in Brazil, and manage the team to perform current and future projects.

The Survey Manager will also help the commercial team to find the correct projects for IdB.

Duties

  • Manage the work on the installation, configuration and operation of GPS positioning, metrology, underwater acoustics and geodesy equipment. Positioning and navigation of vessels, underwater vehicles and structures using various navigation software
  • Processing and preparing reports for projects undertaken
  • Quality control of positioning and data recording for postprocessing and reporting
  • Ensure that positioning operations are carried out in accordance with procedures approved by the company and in accordance with the client's contractual requirements
  • Guarantee the execution of the procedures according to the company's planning during offshore operations
  • Monitoring quality control of operations to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the company's Business Management System
  • Monitor all matters related to Occupational Health, Workplace Safety and the Environment
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure projects are resourced correctly with personnel and equipment
  • Ensure that all risks associated with the design and operation of Assets are identified and maintained at an accepted level at all times, in accordance with HSE and integrity policy and relevant reference documents.
  • Cooperation with clients on project execution and performance feedback
  • Supervise the global logistics of equipment and personnel
  • Communicate logístical plans to team members and other companies as needed
  • Enable the growth of the Survey area, capturing and expanding operations in Brazil
  • As necessary, assist in the preparation of bidding documents
  • When necessary, assist in the preparation and implementation of forecast plans and budgets together with the National Manager and the commercial team
  • Monitor internal and thirdparty costs in accordance with cost control and forecast projects
  • Approve supplier invoices according to the current Responsibility Matrix
  • Recommendation for CAPEX and completion of expense approval as required
  • Review and approval of Purchase Orders within authorization limits
  • Weekly report on the commercial and operational status of the laboratory and projects
  • Assist the Country Manager and Project Managers in identifying team recruitment, career development and training needs
  • Forecast labor requirements and staffing budget for projects
  • Deliver projects to budget and schedule consistently
  • Interact with labor suppliers for hiring staffing requirements

Required

  • Higher education in Engineering, Geodesy, Roads, Cartography, Topography, Electronics, Oceanography or related disciplines
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English; speaking, reading, and writing
  • Minimum 5 years of project/operations senior management experience in the oil & gas industry and in the Survey area
  • Experience supervising all levels of technical staff and engineers in the Survey area
  • Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of precision and accuracy
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills in harnessing the potential of teams for successful project execution and delivery
  • Undertake agreed training and development to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to function effectively
  • Ability to work in a team (good interpersonal relationships)
