Work for the Aspire project inside Insper
Aspire Institute Inc.

(AI) finds lost talent through a novel approach that provides fully-funded academic and professional development resources to low-income, first-in-family college students globally.

A one-year program includes interdisciplinary courses taught by world-class faculty and beyond-the-classroom extended leadership opportunities with mentorship, internships in the country of residence, and academic scholarships to pursue activities that will assist the students in uncovering their untapped potential.

The Institute's cofounders are Tarun Khanna and Karim Lakhani, Harvard Business School Professors.

The position will include but is not limited to managing, planning, and executing Aspire Institute's activities in the region. The Representative will provide in-region support as needed to Aspire Institute's staff and faculty in accomplishing the Institute's mission.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to Aspire Institute Inc. to deepen and broaden the reach to firstgen students across Brazil and Latin America. Manage the office's inregion administrative and financial functions, including budget management, reconciliation, and payment of all bills in the country. Manage files following audit principles and handle all daytoday administrative tasks.
  • Be proactive in identifying organizations, universities, and institutions across Latin America that serve lowincome families to encourage youth to enroll and stay in college.
  • Increasing AI's visibility inregion: The Representative will assist with building bridges between the AI Cambridge office and the region to support

Aspire Leadership Development Programs:
Leaders in Training and Leaders of Tomorrow. Formalize and expand AI's alumni networks to continue to build a pipeline of new applicants to AI.

  • Help develop the yearlong leadership opportunities for the program's finalists, including internships in the country of residence, mentorships, seed funds, and academic and professional development grants.
  • Hold workshops and peer events locally for prospective students and alumni.
Guide the finalists who receive Extended Leadership Opportunities through various opportunities. Develop an in-region ecosystem of local sponsors academic and private institutions to engage with talent discovered through AI. Engage with local partners regularly to strengthen Aspire Institute's mission.

  • Collect regional data for research to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the program.
  • Regularly update various activities incountry and communicate periodically with the AI Executive Director. This position will be responsible for providing the Institute with inregion news regularly for AI's monthly newsletter and the inregion section of Aspire Institute's website.

Requisitos:


Professional Qualification:
Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Management and others.


Technical Skills:

English proficiency (Reading, speaking, listening and writing)

Spanish (plus)

Personal or working experience with international audiences

Excel, power point, data organization

Great communication and written skills, critical analysis, creativity and engagement.

Social media and marketing tools in general


Behavioral Skills:

Good communication

Ease of dealing with the public, especially young students from low-income families

Good mood

Ease of dealing with the new and non-structured tasks
