Umbilication Manufacturing QC Inspector - main office location is in
USA area (Mobile, Alabama, USA) with possible missions to local subcontractors, both fabrication and testing.

  • Estimated Contract duration
    :12 months with 1 option of 1 year extension;:
  • Estimated Start date: July 2023.

SERVICE MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The SUBSEA EPCI contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of SPS and SURF facilities.

It includes the procurement and fabrication of Xmas trees, rigid pipelines including pipe-in-pipe, flexible and hybrid risers, dynamic and static umbilicals, rigid jumpers.

Within the Subsea Engineering team, the Service is responsible for:

  • the quality inspection for manufacturing of dynamic and static umbilicals including, SD Tube and rod welding, NDT, Umbilical manufacture, testing and loadout for the Company project, also for the monitoring of activities at hardware fabricators local to the umbilical fabrication facility.

Services main activities:

  • To be in charge, within the SUBSEA team of activities related to quality inspection on site for manufacturing of Umbilicals, including termination, test and loadout.
  • To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour about H3SE and ensure their implementation within his/her scope of responsibility
  • To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
  • To ensure that state of the art, Company referential and local rules/laws are complied with and captured in all contractual requirements.
  • To seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project.
  • To focus on costs without impairing QHSE objectives
  • To ensure compliance of Contractors / Vendors deliverables and documents with Company H3SE requirements and specifications, with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices, and with Project specifications.
  • To raise necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues.
  • To ask CTR to issue NCR's if needed
  • To perform inspection and issue regular reports in due time, as required by the project team.
  • Close follow up of NCR.( checking for closure when necessary)
  • Close follow up and reporting of progress
  • Assess Contractor surveillance and supplier QC performance.
  • Review and approved QC records after issuance Ensure detail progress reporting (step by step, from incoming reception up to delivery)
  • To work by anticipation Timely and actively liaise with Company Umbilical & Quality Leads in order to ensure consistency of the works.
  • To participate to weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Contractor / vendor as appropriate.
  • To ensure followup / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor / vendor Service Description
  • Material Lead Engineer services 2 / 3 REV00
  • To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Company Umbilical lead & Quality coordinator (progress, concerns), and anticipates problems, potential optimizations or improvements and offers solutions.

At fabrication site, in particular:

  • Review of all site documentation related to the project, in particular Manufacturing and Quality plan and all other plans, procedure or reports related to project operations on site
- to ensure strict ITP steps are applied

  • To ensure that full traceability is fulfilled al along works
  • To witness all WPS/PQR ( welding, mechanical tests etc.)
  • Wherever relevant, witness of welding operations, welding operator qualification and equipment, including acceptance criteria.
  • Review of NDE techniques and NDE Operatives and acceptance criteria.
  • To evaluate (after CTR reports) X. Rays films either in line welds or terminations
  • Assessment and evaluation of welding environment and facilities, including arrangements for personnel protection and HSE;
  • Examination and assessment of materials and consumables.
  • Attendance at Independent, Third Party "Test-House" to witness mechanical testing (e.g. Macro and microscopic examination, Charpy V, Proof test etc.)
