Position Description
"Are you passionate about data and interested in the automotive industry? We are a data analytics team at Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Group's Application Center in Curitiba, looking for a Data Scientist to join us"

As a Data Scientist, you'll be working with a group of data engineers and analysts to turn big data from our products into valuable insights.

Your responsibilities will include data mining, analysis, and transforming data into a format that can be easily analyzed and queried.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English, both spoken and written
Experience working with data analysis functions.
Experience handling large realworld datasets.
Preferred experience in the automotive industry.
Familiarity with Machine Learning methods: Unsupervised, Supervised, and Reinforcement Learning.
Proficiency in programming languages: Python, R, SQL, DAX.
Understanding of Data Access and Extraction (ETL) from Data Warehousing (e.g., IBM) and Data Lakes (e.g., Azure), as well as version control tools like Bitbucket and GIT.
Familiarity with analytics tools such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikitlearn, Spark, Hadoop, SPSS, Pyodbc, and others.
