Overview:


_This opportunity is not related to EHS (Environmental Safety and Health) metier._


The Safety Assurance Manager performs Safety Analysis at System, Subsystem, Wayside Equipment, Onboard Equipment, Hardware and Software levet at Signalling projects and Products of Alstom São Paulo site in order to raise the Safety Requirements allowing to reach an acceptable level of risk.

These activities, Safety Requirements among others will encompass the Safety Demonstration prepared by Safety Assurance Manager through Safety Case or Safety Report document.

This role is responsible to manage the safety activities respecting the cost, delivery and quality, manage and support technically Safety Assurance Engineer during the Safety activities;
Interface with External and Internal Independent Safety Assessor (ISA), Project team, customer and also Safety consultants.


Specific responsbilities for this role
Defining and transfer in a timely manner the necessary safety requirements to put under control the relevant railway safety risk and follow them until closure in the Hazard Management tool (Hazard Log, checklist, etc...)


Supporting Project Quality Manager in the performance of Safety Design Review and the issuance of Safety Authorization by providing the necessary inputs.


Taking the role of Safety Leader in case of Safety Issue for which he/she is appointed to, in order to support the team in the assessment, containment, closure and return of Experience of the issue.

Managing the Safety Assurance Engineer(s), when appllicable, to meet the QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery).


Having a pro-active approach on the design assessment to support in the adequate definition of technical solutions to put under control the railway safety risks.


Seeking for the technical understanding of her/his scope in order to better assess their Safety performance and potencial area of improvement.

Participating to the improvement/definition of the Safety process.


Qualifications & Experience

Competencies:

Bachellor type Eletrical Engineering;
Desireble Signalling knowledge;
Autonomy, analytical, good synthesis, ability to work in a team, good level of communication;
Capacity to work under pressure;
Rigorous and detailed person;


Behavioural Competencies


Ability to execute and coordinate Safety analyses, technical reivew and evaluation of assigned projects, adhering to business standards & procedures in accordance with project requirements.

Be a rigorous and detail-oriented individual

Posses a strong work ethic and be task focused. Sense of urgency and attitude to respect the committed milestones maintaining the highest levels of quality in the produced activites

Structured and organizedç

Proactive behavior;
Sense of anticipation and urgency

Team leader, ability to allocate/drive activities performed by other (internal/external resouces)

Resilient (to pressure, to last minutes deliveries, Safety Issue Management...)

Ability to say "no go" when needed and to support / elaborate improvements plan / solution to deliver projects.


Previous experience:

Diserable knowledge of railway and signalling, knowledge in electronics, begineer / intermeidate / experienced level years);
Diserable knowledge of CENELEC Standards: 50126, 50128 and 50129.


Language skills:

English advanced;
Spanish.
