You as a Payments Product - Trust & Safety Brazil Vice President in Latin America, based in São Paulo, SP, will be responsible for ensuring a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for Payments in the region, including operational risk management, sanctions and compliance, while fostering a proactive risk and control culture.

Will also conduct the strategy, development and commercialization of controls products like Know Your Customer as a service and Sanctions Screening as a service.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership support for the endtoend execution of the risk & control selfassessments, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
  • Liaise with control teams across the firm: Business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology functions
  • Execution of Products control priorities and strategy ensuring control agenda is timely delivered, directing strategic control initiatives and business evolution
  • In crisis scenarios, independently assess operational processes, highlight risk scenarios / recommend solutions, and proactively manage risks resulting from industry regulatory and/or business decisions and strategic initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership in helping conduct horizontal control priorities focused on risk mitigation, control transformation and better integration for proactive risk management
  • Ability to understand business motivations and provide both strategic and tactical input for key business decisions, and ensure controls for new business initiatives as required
  • Advise and influence senior leaders / business executives on key decisions and major risk and control initiatives
  • Develop effective presentations and materials suitable for senior executives that help manage meaningful decisions
  • Collaborate with technology to ensure technical controls supporting Payments processes are working effectively and captured appropriately

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • BA/BS in Management, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred
  • Ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
  • Excellent time management with ability to deliver results on time
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with multiple crossfunctional teams including Product, Operations/Service, Technology, Sales, Marketing and across management levels on simultaneous projects
  • Thrives in dynamic and fast paced environment managing multiple concurrent initiatives with different delivery dates
  • Demonstrated communication and diplomacy skills to work crossorganizationally to influence others, lead results/change, and implement projects/processes
  • Problem solving / Analytical skills solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.
