To contribute to the consolidation of the productive and socioeconomic organization of family farming in Brazil, through the implementation of innovative and priority actions in the formulation of national public policies.


Reporting Lines
The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil - Programme.


Technical Focus


Develop technical documents to support the implementation and management of the new strategy of the National Bioinputs Program (PNB), which aims to support and encourage the use and production of bioinputs in rural, urban, and peri-urban family agriculture.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the initial alignment meeting and periodic meetings with the SEAB/MDA team to monitor activities;
  • Provide technical support to SEAB in the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement process of the seventh strategy of the National Bioinputs Program within the scope of Family Agriculture;
  • Conduct bibliographic surveys and necessary consultations for the preparation of the products outlined in this Terms of Reference;
  • Prepare and deliver the products outlined in this Terms of Reference;
  • Present the results of this consultancy in relevant forums during the contract period and upon demand from the coordination of SEAB/MDA;
  • Participate in meetings/articulations related to the execution of the consultancy.

CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences or Specialization or Master's Degree or Ph.
D., according to the table of knowledge areas of CAPES/CNPq

  • In case of having a Bachelor's degree, at least of 5 (five) years of experience in activities related to the development of methodologies,in the management of projects, programs, and portfolios in the area of phytosanitary or bioinputs. In case of having specialization and 03 years of experience in the requested areas. In case of having Master's degree and 02 years of experience in the requested areas and in case of having a Ph.
D. and 01 year of experience in the requested areas.

  • Working knowledge (level C) of English or Spanish and Portuguese
  • Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil.
