Overview:
We are looking for a

Finance and Administration Manager to lead the Brazil Finance and Administration organization of a global, US-headquartered company and provide business partnership, financial insights and analysis to support the Brazil Field Operations Division. The division provides direct sales, service and technical support to the Brazil market. The finance and administration team provides accounting, analysis, reporting, forecasting, planning, budgeting, compliance, incentive administration and order entry support for the division. The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Administration for Latin America and indirectly to the GM of Brazil Operations.


Specific responsibilities include:
- use of analytics and business acumen to collaborate with business leaders to develop forecasts and allocate resources
- ensuring compliance with revenue recognition rules and policies
- oversight and ultimate responsibility of team efforts to:

  • administer all incentive plans for the organization including plan documents, goal setting, modeling and calculation of payouts
- perform accounting for the organization, including accruals, demo inventory, intercompany profit eliminations and revenue deferrals
- conduct business analysis of sales and trade margin performance
- plan, develop and implement cost center level budget/annual operating plan for division
- provide local tax and statutory support
- ensure internal and external compliance covering financial accounting and reporting, internal controls and management of the annual statutory audit process
- creation and monitoring of policies, procedures and controls

Qualifications:
- a self-aware, genuine and optimistic leader with proven ability to develop a diverse, high performance, results-oriented team
- passion for creating improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of finance and accounting processes and procedures, both individually and through inspiration of team members
- outstanding accountability
- good judgment and ability to make strong decisions independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed
- fluency in Portuguese and English with a preference for functional Spanish
- proactive problem solving, balanced leadership and pro-active business partnering with supported groups
- bachelors degree required, focus in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred. MBA, CPA or equivalent preferred

  • 7+ years of experience supporting field sales and/or service organizations in a Latin American subsidiary of a global company
- systems aptitude and proficiency in the Microsoft suite
- strong commitment to customer satisfaction and continual process improvement
- ability to work closely in a team environment, interacting with all levels of the organization and have the communication skills and poise to do so effectively
