Context

  • The Supply Chain and Purchasing BR Manager is responsible for multidisciplinary teams, including Logistics and Back Office, areas of extreme importance to the business and whose processes and KPIs must be constantly monitored
  • Supply Chain:

Necessary focus on inventory management and working capital to achieve cash goals and involvement in SHIFT performance, especially to reduce complexity and move as much as possible from MTS to MTO mentality, in addition to attention to the PCA- Purchasing: Management of purchasing processes for the factory and administrative, ensuring that all purchases are made competitively, including the proper assessment of needs and risks and consistent with the Nexans Purchasing Policy.- It must lead a customer-oriented approach to internal customers (factories, planning, etc...) through the services and resources of the local Purchasing Department and in coordination with the Area and Group organizations.


Purpose

The BR BU Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager

  • The Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager at BR BU is responsible for the achievement of safety KPIs LTI, FAC, MTI) in your areas of responsibility, to define the expected performance of the Customer Supply Chain with Marketing and Sales and for achieving these goals within its perimeter (complaints, PCA, OTIF, FG stock availability, Lead Customer Team, cash management through optimized allocation of MTO versus MTS), in addition to allocating sales within its perimeter, taking into account sales forecasts from other countries or segments.
  • This manager is also responsible for dynamically leading and coordinating the BU's purchasing activities, in line with the Unit / Country / Group strategy, implementing corporate policies and tools where relevant, defining local standards when necessary and sharing best practices from and between other Nexans countries.
  • Leads the purchasing team in his area and monitors direct and indirect purchasing performance and devises the appropriate actions and initiatives to meet the annual savings target, following the internal and external supplier's continuous improvement plans to support the necessary competitive advantage of the products and Factory manufactured services.

    Areas of responsibility
  • Lead the achievement of safety KPIs (LTI, FAC, MTI) and ensures that HS&E system and product certifications are well implemented and maintained;
  • Ensures the safety of employees and subcontractors through the implementation of appropriate action plans;
  • Supports plant compliancy regarding law, Group procedures & local authorizations;
  • Enforces industrial excellence through World Class manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement implementation, P+ & NEW methodologies;
  • Ensures that the plant objectives are properly cascaded at all levels (including each employee) through a mastered policy deployment process;
  • Organizes the plant industrial and financial performances monitoring (output, stocks, manufacturing variances, plant costs) and drives corresponding countermeasures;
  • Take initiatives to boost productivity and cost improvement programs;
  • Develop people, improving the competency level of his team and implements tools;
  • Ensures Quality level in line with Customers expectations /needs and according to ABC2 clarifications
  • Is responsible for the Supply Chain budget and SC Saving Master Plan;
  • Defines the level of service provided to the customer (Service Level Agreement);
  • Contributes to product portfolio rationalization;
  • Defines & implements product policy in order to meet customer requirement & optimize inventory/cost (MTO/MTS) and is accountable for the Inventory Coverage and accuracy within his perimeter;
  • Defines & implements Supply Chain Services expected by customers (VMI, cutting );
  • Manages SC performance within his scope (KPI follow up, policy deployment, master plan): complaints, OTIF, PCA, Inventory Coverage & Customer Lead Time, transportation costs;
  • Calculates rolling sales forecast on midterm horizon based on sales information and historical data;
  • Makes demand plan commented and validated by sales responsible on a monthly basis (animates Demand Review meeting & manages the process to reach consensus forecast);
  • Plans weekly production orders according to plant demand plan and follow up (Master Production Scheduling (MPS)) and manages plant Bottlenecks: appropriate loading & feeding;
