Overview:


  • This opportunity is not related to EHS métier;
  • The Safety Assurance Mananger performs Safety Analysis at System, Subsystem, Wayside Equipments, Onboard equipments, hardware and software levels for Signalling Projects and Products of Alstom São Paulo site in order to raise the safety requirements allowing to reach an acceptable level of risks. These activities and Safety requirements will encompass the Safety Demonstration prepared by Safety Assurane Manager through the Safety Case/Safety Report.
  • Manage the safety activities respecting the cost, deliver and quality, manage and support technically Safety Assurance Enginner during safety activities;
  • Interface with External, Internal ISA (Independent Safety Assurance), Project team, customer, consultants

Specific responsibilities of the role:


  • Defining and transfer in a timely manner the necessary safety requirements to put under control the relevant railway safety risks and follow them until closure in the Hazard Management Tool (Hazard Log, checklist,).
  • Supporting the PrQSM in the performance of Safety Design Review and the issuance of Safety Authorizations by providing the necessary inputs.
  • Taking the role of Safety Leader (K1 8D) for which he/she is appointed to, in order to support the team in the assessment, containment, closure and Return of Experience of the issue as per RSA-WMS00
  • Managing the RAMS Engineer(s), when applicable, to meet the QCD commitment
  • Having a proactive approach on the design assessment to support in the adequate definition of technical solutions to put under control the railway safety risks.
  • Seeking for the technical understanding of her/his scope in order to better assess their RAMS performance and potential areas of improvement.
  • Participating to the improvement/definition of the RAM and Safety processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Competencies:


  • Bachellor type Eletrical Engineering;
  • Desirable Signalling knowledge;
  • Autonomy, analytical, a good synthesis, the ability to work in a team, a good level of communication
  • Capacity to work under pressure;
  • Rigorous and detailed person;

Behavioural Competencies:


  • Ability to execute and coordinate Safety analyses,technical reviews and evaluation of assigned projects,adhering to business standards & procedures inaccordance with project requirements
  • Be a rigorous and detailoriented individual
  • Possess a strong work ethic and be task focused.
Sense of urgency and attitude to respect the committedmilestones maintaining the highest levels of quality in theproduced activities

Previous experience:


  • Diserable knowledge of railway and signaling, knowledge in electronics, beginner / intermediate / experienced level (06 years);
  • Diserable knowledge of CENELEC Standards: 50126, 50128 and 50129;

Language skills:


  • English advanced;
  • Spanish.
