- Provide guidance and counsel on complex matters to all business units throughout Latin America & the Caribbean on anti-corruption laws and compliance policies.
- Partnering with regional business units to advance Company priorities while ensuring adherence to core values, the Standards of Business Conduct (SOBC), other compliance policies, and applicable laws.
- Assisting in anti-corruption risk assessments and monitoring legal and regulatory developments in bribery, corruption, and related areas to ensure Company compliance.
- Supporting GECM-led internal investigations and remediation efforts as necessary.
- Conducting due diligence on select third-party business partners and vendors.
- Managing compliance workflows and processes, including risk assessment, control implementation, and tracking of third-party due diligence, training, contracts, and approvals.
- Assisting with compliance training and awareness initiatives, delivering tailored ethics and anti-corruption training to regional stakeholders.
- Reviewing government official advantages and donation requests for compliance with local laws and Company policies.
- Actively contributing to the drafting and implementation of GECM policy updates.
- Collaborating with GECM team members globally to develop and administer the Company's comprehensive ethics and compliance program.
- Leading special projects and other ethics and compliance initiatives as required.
- Participating in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to support Company goals and increase GECM visibility.
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience providing complex legal and compliance advice, with a focus on anti-corruption matters.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to present arguments to senior attorneys and business partners to shape strategic decisions.
- Thorough understanding of regional bribery and corruption regulatory regimes, with a demonstrated ability to stay updated on emerging trends.
- Experience in conducting internal investigations, including witness interviews, and managing electronically stored information.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience in priority setting, problem-solving, and multitasking in dynamic work environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Professional fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- Law degree from an accredited law school.

The Global Ethics and Compliance Management (GECM) team is responsible for developing and promulgating the standards pursuant to which The Walt Disney Company and its affiliated entities do business, developing and implementing anti-corruption and trade compliance policies and procedures, and training Company employees regarding the Standards of Business Conduct, anti-corruption, and trade compliance.
The Counsel (Latin America) will be responsible for:
Support the Assistant Regional Counsel in administering the Company's ethics and compliance program. This includes providing training, legal advice, and counsel on global anti-corruption laws, assisting in anti-corruption risk assessments, and overseeing anti-corruption diligence and monitoring regimes.
