About the Team:

Shopee is seeking for a talented and exceptional Junior Tax Analyst to join its Tax Compliance Team in Brazil. Based in São Paulo, this Team's activities range from ensuring the company's compliance with the tax rules and regulations in force at the federal, state and municipal levels, reviewing and calculating taxes and ancillary obligations to anticipate and identify tax issues, recommending solutions, research and solve problems, among others.
We appreciate having people with different backgrounds, as our activities require a good mix of tech, business and communication skills. We are always learning something new to keep up with and support Shopee's growth.
Responsible for the ICMS calculation for the local entities
Support on filing accurately the tax returns related to the ICMS (EFD ICMS/IPI, GIA and others)
Keeping up with the state legislation updates and analyzing the impact on the local entities
Development of controls and reports related to the ICMS routine
Effectively resolve and escalate issues, demonstrating a consistent and timely track record of delivery
Help build our tax team to ensure we will be prepared to make highquality deliveries in the long term

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in law or accounting
Experience in the tax compliance monthly routine of a logistic company
Intermediate English level to fill reports and communicate with different stakeholders
Advanced Excel knowledge
Strong communication and writing skills to build effective working relationships
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, effectively prioritizing activities
Knowledge in Oracle EBS Application will be a plus.
