Position Description

This is how you could make an impact


We are looking for an Accounting Analyst that will be working on accounting reconciliations and reports, tax provision, planning and return, regulatory reports to Central Bank, internal/external audits, ensuring that all financial statements are prepared and reconciled in accordance with Volvo Group reporting, local GAAP and tax accounting requirements.


Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation of accounting reports (local books and IFRS) and official publications;
  • Improvement on current Accounting processes through data tools;
  • Portfolio evolution control (new originations, liquidations, interest rate, funding, nonaccrual);
  • Analyze actuals variations, justifying possible inaccuracies;
  • Issue daily, monthly, quarterly and biannual reports to Brazilian Central Bank;
  • Accounting compliance (operational risks, market risk, control the Basel III, portfolio/costumers' detail)
  • Tax provision, DTA, refund and planning (Income Tax, PIS/COFINS, ISS)
  • New products development support (accounting perspective)
  • Attempt and support to tax authorities (IRS)
  • Support to external auditors policies/procedures and results

Other expectations we have regarding education, skills and competencies:

  • University degree plus relevant professional qualification in financial accounting and/or tax
  • Experience in the financial services industry (preferably in captive Banks) and or professional accounting/audit background in financial services.
  • Understanding of financial services and the relevant IFRS reporting (SAP reporting tools)
  • Data driven professional with data tools knowledge
  • Excellent computer skills: advanced knowledge in MS Excel and Power BI
  • Required fluency, both written and verbal, in English and Portuguese
  • Experience of working in an international environment and working cross culturally
  • Set high standards of professionalism and operate with integrity, with good organizational skills, targetdriven & selfmotivated
  • Positive thinker; attitude to solve problems and find the right solutions
  • Ability to classify and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to advice, train and to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Work with passion, loyalty and integrity towards the company, colleagues, and customers
