You will play a key role in our marketing efforts and the growth of this practice area through client interaction, thought leadership, and quality work execution.
As a project manager, you will bring order and process to the client teams with whom you work, and you will serve as a resource to analysts as you help them build their technical and client-facing expertise.
You will be expected to meet billable hours and sales goals as described by your manager.Duties and responsibilities:
Directly contribute to client projects through applying technical actuarial expertise Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams Serve as the day-to-day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards Support the generation of new business and broadening relationships with existing clients as part of a broader team, including serving on account management teams for specific assigned clients Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to other associates and Client Relationship Managers Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client's broader business issues Contribute to intellectual property development and research efforts, including development of new tools and approaches Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels Serve as mentor to junior project team associates Develop new business opportunities and enhance existing relationships Required skills and qualifications: Undergraduate degreeFellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Fellow of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent professional qualification requiredFive to ten years or more of actuarial experience, including relevant experience in property/casualty actuarial consultingKnowledge and experience with Bermuda insurance and reinsurance including loss reserving, risk management, and the calculation of BMA EBS Technical Provisions.
Knowledge and experience with insurance-linked securities (ILS) valuation Strong analytical skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic wayProven experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budgetStrong interpersonal and team skillsFlexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issuesThe ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients' business challengesTechnically proficient in MS Excel and working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS WordExperience with reserving and financial modelling software (for example ResQ and Igloo)Hardworking, willing to put in extra hours to meet deadlines and availability to travel on an as needed basis.
