Purpose of this role:

To lead and drive the performance of the Oncology Business for Brazil.


Responsible for setting a clear strategy (short, medium and long term) to drive growth and patient access, that engages the oncology team to deliver on priorities and builds strong team engagement.


Able to foster a team culture of high performance, patient centricity, trust and inclusion and manages the transformational change of culture and teams.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Oversees and directs the strategy and delivery of the oncology sales and marketing plan within a country/ region
  • Responsible for budgetary setting, management and compliance
  • Leads activities across multiple brands as required to optimize oncology sales and business performance
  • Leads and develops the sales and marketing teams including but not limited to performance management, talent management and career development. Able to lead and influence cross functional teams to achieve Oncology goals.
  • Develops short, medium
- and long-term goals and plans that enable delivery of the oncology sales and marketing plan within a country /region and which offers a compelling oncology sales proposition to patients

  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with key internal and external customers as appropriate
  • Represents the organisation at public occasions, eg conventions, and in interactions with external partners in order to present a positive image of the organisation
  • Instils a strong patient centric approach and highperformance culture with a focus on culture transformation, inclusion and diversity and trust.
  • Ensures that tactical leadership decisions are executed in Business Unit when agreed at SMT in order for the business to achieve its objectives
  • Performance manages senior managers and identifies skill development opportunities for direct reports, together with appropriate succession planning
  • Develop new partnerships with the ecosystem seeking opportunities for AstraZeneca growth through innovation

Qualifications:


  • Academic background in science, medicine, economics
  • MBA preferred

Experience required:


  • Demonstrated Leadership experience in building culture and managing transformation of teams
  • Solid experience in oncology with proven record in leading sizable sales organization with full P&L responsibility for a portfolio
  • Solid experience in Oncology Marketing and has experience for both new brand and inline brands
  • Experience in successful product launches in Oncology with excellent understanding of the market and access.
  • Experience leading crossfunction collaboration esp. with Medical Affairs and Market Access teams
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of attracting, assessing and developing talent and optimising team performance
  • Extensive knowledge of health care system
