MISSIONS / SERVICE OVERVIEW
Company Project consists of a 12 km subsea tie back to the existing FPSO of Company field. Company
Project is a Deepwater development (2100m) with technical challenges (high CO2 and waxy crude) and
represents a key asset for the development of Company in Brazil.
The Subsea EPCI contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of SPS and
SURF facilities. It includes the procurement and fabrication of Xmas trees, rigid pipelines including pipe-in-pipe,
flexible and hybrid risers, dynamic and static umbilicals, rigid jumpers.
Within the Subsea Engineering team, the services is responsible for all the activities related to the engineering
(detailed), procurement, construction, installation, and inspection of Subsea structures, and represents the
Company technical authority for the Subsea Structure discipline.
ACTIVITIES
Main services activities:
organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works relative to the discipline as well as works and
studies performed by the Subsea Contractor
monitoring the engineering of the discipline
ensure that all deliverables and documents (both internal and external) related to the disciplines are
timely issued and fit for purpose.
raise necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design
choices, constructability issues and the like/
ensure compliance of Contractors / Vendors deliverables and documents with Company H3SE
requirements and specifications, with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices, and
with Project specifications.
review and prepare response to Contractors and Vendors technical queries and derogation requests for
all topics relevant to the discipline.
ensure that all discipline-related engineering interfaces with other concerned disciplines/packages are
dully dealt with and managed.
timely and actively liaise with other specialists of the Subsea team in order to ensure consistency of the
works
participate in the follow-up of the Subsea procurement and construction on yard for the disciplines and
adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE and ensure their implementation
within his/her scope of responsibility.
ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of the project.
ensure that state of the art, TEPBr referential and local rules/laws are complied with,
seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs without
impairing QHSE objectives
ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Subsea Engineering Manager (progress, concerns), and
anticipates problems, potential optimizations or improvements and offers solutions.
participate to project reviews as requested by Company requirements (HAZOP, HAZID, PR...) and
prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his/her disciplines.
ensure confidentiality of all the disciplines-related documentation produced.
gather, as requested, 'lessons learnt' and provide feedback to the project team and other Company's
entities as required.
demonstrate personal commitment to the HSEQ Policy, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance
with all relevant Statutory and Company HSEQ standards.
actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes
act in the best interest of Company and adhere to the values and principles of the Company Code of Conduct.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
The services is part of the Company subsea EPCI project team.
The team is split on two main locations:
Company's office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and EPCI contractor office located in the Paris area, France.
The services reports to the Subsea Engineering Manager and has no direct report.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Level / Diploma:
Engineer, or equivalent - (Degree in Structures and/or Civil & Building Engineering)
Professional Experience (years): minimum 10 years.
Experience in similar services (years): min 5 years, with at least one experience with a deepwater project
involving subsea design, fabrication and installation
Good understanding of the following codes & standards: API 2U, API 2V, API RP 2A, AISC, DNV RP C203,
DNV OS H101, DNV OS H102, DNV OS H205, DNV OS H206.
Languages:
Fluent English and French required, Portugues
