Your Role and Responsibilities

The project consists of the characterization of Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) using Raman micro-spectroscopy and the study of carbon dioxide (CO2) capture by these materials.

The work will consist of:

Review of technical and scientific literature on the characterization of MOFs (Metal Organic Frameworks).
Design and execution of laboratory experiments to characterize MOFs, especially using microspectroscopy
Reviewing technical and scientific literature on methods and technologies for capturing and storing carbon dioxide.
Design and execution of laboratory experiments to create methods and technologies for capturing and storing carbon dioxide.
Participating in the preparation of articles and patents on methods and technologies for capturing and storing carbon dioxide.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Familiarity with experimental techniques for characterizing materials
Familiarity with operating optical microscopes
Familiarity with preparing samples for characterization
Knowledge of the Office package for weekly presentation of results
Advanced English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Familiarity with Raman spectroscopy.
Familiarity with scientific instrumentation.
Familiarity with python for data processing and analysis.
Affinity with research and development activities, such as writing articles and patents.
Familiarity with handling chemical solutions.
