Position: Reliability Engineer SME

Reports to (Title): BG Director of Operational Excellence and Engineering

1. Job Overview

Lead efforts to ensure asset reliability and maintenance capacity across the region.
Conduct data analysis of maintenance KPIs, major breakdowns, and failures.
Propose strategies to anticipate issues and standardize maintenance practices.
Responsible for BUs in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.
Build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist BU maintenance leaders in establishing proactive activities and local asset management strategies.
Interact with suppliers and equipment manufacturers for innovative solutions.
Support projects from conception to commissioning.

Directly report to the Director of Operational Excellence and Engineering (LATAM) and participate in CI projects and Technical Networks to address critical safety, quality, delivery, and cost issues related to asset management.

2. Principal Accountabilities

Maintain MEL and ECR for AFLA.
Develop and implement asset management strategies.
Identify opportunities, standardize maintenance practices, and ensure competent personnel.
Participate in managing BUs' assets throughout their lifecycle.
Analyze and rank failures based on risks.
Implement predictive routines and refine maintenance plans.
Ensure reliability of new and modified machines/facilities.
Recommend equipment design improvements and MRO management techniques.
Participate in benchmarking, technical networks, safety initiatives, and CI projects.

6. Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

10 years of maintenance experience in multinational industries.
5 years of regional (multisite) roles.
Strong knowledge of machines systems and components.
Advanced knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
Expertise in maintenance methodologies and techniques.
Experience in Latin American countries.
Self-motivated with a desire to succeed and fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Education, Certifications & Other

BS in Engineering and MBA or similar in Maintenance.
