    Databricks is in need of an experienced Designated Support Engineer who is passionate about customer relations, project management, and account management. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering top-notch service to customers and Databricks team members. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and project management skills, along with the ability to handle challenges with strategic customers.

    • Work closely with Databricks' key strategic accounts to deliver exceptional support
    • Simultaneously manage one or multiple accounts
    • Project manage all ongoing support cases daily to ensure continuous progress
    • Coordinate communications between Engineering, Product Team, SMEs, and Accounts Teams to drive support cases forward
    • Address critical business situations and ensure customer functionality recovery
    • Identify and solve potential issues in customer events and production activities
    • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and other staff to overcome obstacles and resolve delays
    • Take ownership of escalated issues affecting production success
    • Utilize business judgment and expertise to lead problem-solving efforts
    • Analyze customer cases regularly to detect patterns
    • Handle challenging scenarios in a fast-paced setting
    • Advocate for customers, lead roundtable discussions, and foster relationships with key stakeholders
    • Participate in customer steering committee meetings
    • Promote customer self-sufficiency by educating them on engaging with Databricks Support
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and pilot new programs for production customers
    • Participate in the 24x7 program

    Requirements:

    • 3 to 5 years of customer-facing experience in roles like Technical Account Manager or Designated Support Engineer
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing Python/Java/Scala based applications
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Distributed Big Data Computing environments
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
