Employment Type:Permanent- Exciting opportunity to join our Renewables team as Tax Specialist- Job Summary- The Tax Specialist will be part of the Tax team, responsible for tax compliance & financial reporting for the Yinson Renewables (YR) businesses in Latin America Region (LATAM)

Brazil, Rio- Responsibilities:

Responsible for monthly and annual tax compliance matters for YR LATAM entities.
Review all supplier and customer invoices to ensure compliance with local tax legislation & rules.
Review monthly accounts for YR LATAM entities prepared by local consultants in respective LATAM countries.
Timely submission of monthly financials to YR Group after review of the same with local consultants in LATAM.
Maintain balance sheet schedules for all YR LATAM entities.
Responsible for monthly/quarterly internal financial and tax reporting on the YR LATAM entities, including quality variance analysis and commentaries to explain the financial results.
Liaise with local authorities in relation to the tax audits in YR business in LATAM.
Advise on crossborder tax issues, e.g. profit repatriation strategies, withholding taxes, permanent establishment, etc.
Assist in Group BEPS Pillar 2.0 implementation.
Transfer pricing and value chain analysis.
Review and perform preliminary tax due diligence on potential deals.
Work with various advisers on M&A deals, acquisitions, divestments.
Liaise with local tax authorities on various incentives and grants (where applicable).
Manage adhoc matters arising and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Collaborate with the wider Finance team to drive a culture of delivery and excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant higher education/certification or equivalent working experience.
5 years of relevant experience from a Big 4 accounting firm or a large organisation which has inhouse tax function/department.
Experience working within the tax industry in LATAM countries.
Experience from working in the renewables industry is an advantage.
Ability to interpret the General Ledger and solid understanding of tax accounting.
Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbally and written.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, international environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively across all levels of the organisation.
