The DuPont's Tax team is looking for a regional LATAM Tax Manager based in São Paulo, Brazil to lead our Latin America Tax team.
As LATAM Tax Manager you will oversee the regional tax function with respect to planning, advisory and compliance tax matters.
You will report directly to a Senior Tax Manager based in United States and is supported by a group of internal and/or external tax resources in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:Providing management support for compliance teams across Latin America countries for direct and indirect tax matters.
Monitoring tax legislation changes in each of the relevant jurisdictions and assessing the impact on the Company ́s operations as well as providing guidance necessary to comply with tax requirements.
Overseeing and reviewing corporate income tax calculations prepared either internally or by external providers to ensure they comply with deferred tax accounting and US GAAP.
Ensuring tax filings, payments, reconciliations, tax assessments, notices and audits are effectively managed.Defending the Company ́s tax positions and making sure all processes are executed in alignment with SOX and internal control standards.
Working with other corporate functions to improve efficiency in tax compliance process through the implementation of actions towards simplification, harmonization, centering and maximizing the use of tax systems and technology tools.
Providing tax advisory support for businesses and functions for strategic and corporate initiatives such as supply-chain optimization, ERP system implementation, legal entity rationalization and overall M&A initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Law or Economics. Specialization in Tax is desirable.
Experienced Brazil Tax professional, with relevant experience in tax matters in consultancy firms or multinational companies. Knowledge in tax matters for Argentina and Mexico are desirable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people, ability to develop and motivate team members.
Fluent in English language.Intermediate Spanish is desirable.
Experience with centering initiatives and managing resources remotely is desirable.
Experience with Pw.
Sati, Synchro and Thompson & Reuters products (e.g. One Source Provision/GAM) is a plus.
