- Enhance the developer experience at John Deere, offering solutions such as local developer plugins for early feedback and internal portals for necessary information dissemination;
- Identify organizational constraints and mitigate them through effective software development practices;
- Pave a smoother path for the adoption of new technologies for the community;
- Actively engage with the developer community, amplifying voices to drive impactful changes benefiting end customers;
- Acting as technical evangelist, proactively promoting opportunities for John Deere's technical advancement;
- Focus lies on facilitating the right processes, empowering developers to control their destiny rather than being constrained by bottlenecks.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any equivalent courses;
- Advanced English (broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates and provides training);
- Experience as a developer writing code for various applications (Java, NodeJS, Typescript,Python);
- Experience using DevOps or eXtreme Programming practices as part of development;
- Experience in owning the operation and infrastructure of applications;
- Experience using cloud solution providers (like AWS, Azure, etc) to host your application and services;
- Experience with consuming and writing APIs;
- Experience working with a community of other software developers;
- Strong Communication Skills;
- Experience with several different DevOps type of tooling (Ex: Drone, Github & Github Actions, Azure,DevOps, Docker, Terraform, Puppet, Black duck, Artifactory, Sonar, Linting Tools, ;
- Experience with several different languages (Ex: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Scala, etc);
- Experience with using containers for orchestration of servers (Ex: Docker, ECS/K8s, etc);
- Experience with contributing to open-source platforms/tools;
- Experience mentoring others on best technical practices;
- Understanding of event-driven architecture systems;
- Experience with Typescript;
- Experience with PostgresSQL;
- Experience with Internal Developer Portals;
- OAUTH and OIDC;
- Monitoring and Observability tools such as Grafana.
