The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:
As a key team member of the team you will need to:

Deliver state-of-the-art geological sample descriptions and interpretations, utilizing the full range of relevant data available (including: thin sections, wireline data, laboratory measurements, dynamic data).
Work together with Equinor subsurface and digital experts to develop workflows and methodologies for characterization of presalt reservoirs.
Act as a core member of the Presalt Center of Excellence with the responsibility to ensure knowledge transfer and experience between relevant business units.

For this position, we are also looking for:

Bachelor in Geology, with specialization in carbonate sedimentology, diagenesis, stratigraphy and petrography. Master ́s level education is a plus.
Experience working with Presalt carbonate reservoirs in the South Atlantic area is desirable.
Proven expertise in detailed geologic description of carbonate cores, thinsections and ditch cuttings and integration/interpretation of the same with subsurface data such as wireline log data is a requirement.
Familiarity with different types of rock analysis techniques, including microscopes, cathodoluminescence, fluid inclusions, XRD, XRF, SEM, stable isotopes and associated analytical data (e.g. RCA, SCAL) is essential.
Desirable geological software skills: RMS, Geolog, OpenWorks, DSG, WellCAD
Fluent in written and spoken English
