WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER:

Carbon Market Policies

The role offers an opportunity for an experienced professional to explore and facilitate use of carbon markets to achieve our overall institutional goal to reduce carbon emissions and increase sequestration.

We will look for solutions that not only reduce emissions and increase sequestration but also benefit biodiversity and reduce risks to people most vulnerable from a changing climate.

We will do this by initiating policy dialogues with governments and other stakeholders to understand, analyze and create the enabling conditions for carbon markets, improve investment opportunities, address barriers, and improve capacity.

Adaptation and Mitigation Policies

Together with the Waters and Forests agendas in the External Affairs team, and the Science and Conservation teams, we will seek to influence the creation and implementation of public policies associated with Climate Adaptation and Mitigation strategies.

Special focus will be given to models that strengthen the fair transition process towards zero carbon, seek competitive environmental standards, promote the implementation of socio-environmental safeguards, intertwined with speeches, acts and government actions.

Leveraging Conservation initiatives

Together with the TNC Iconic Places teams we will work with the public sector and key stakeholders to promote, propose, adapt, and co-develop innovative partnerships at the local, state, and federal levels to support our ambitious 2030 conservation goals in climate agenda, helping channel resources and orchestrate large scale & high impact initiatives involving public policies.
