- Design, development & delivery of new features as part of agile team
- Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers, and other engineering teams (platform, mobile, quality).
- Pro-actively identify ways to make TripIt more robust, scalable and user-friendly.
- Own cloud services end to end, delivering distributed systems using AWS native services
- Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
- Professional software development experience (developing consumer web applications preferred).
- Expertise with server-side web frameworks (Python/Django or PHP/Symfony preferred)
- DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability.
- Knowledge of one or more relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle (familiarity with one or more NoSQL databases is a plus)
- Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and knowledge on AWS primitives such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo is highly desired.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication with ability to explain complex technical concepts with ease across an organization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud native solutions is preferred.
- Experience in Travel Technologies a plus
