    The company: Our client is a global energy solutions provider that specializes in delivering power generation and electricity distribution services. They offer a range of services including designing, engineering, constructing, and operating power plants, as well as providing renewable energy solutions and energy storage systems. Their goal is to provide reliable and sustainable energy solutions to help meet the growing demand for power around the world.

    Location: The Commercial Manager will be based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro

    Responsibilities

    • The primary objective of the Commercial Manager is to oversee sales, proposals, pricing, contracts, and revenue generation. Alongside the CEO, the Commercial Manager will also act as a Strategy builder to expand footprint in the Brazilian territory.
    • Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
    • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the energy industry
    • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients and suppliers
    • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform decision-making
    • Managing a team of sales and business development professionals
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
    • Analyzing financial data and preparing reports for senior management
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
    • Developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize revenue
    • Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with commercial activities
    • Leading the development and execution of marketing campaigns
    • Monitoring and optimizing sales performance by analyzing key metrics
    • Managing budgets and forecasting sales targets
    • Conducting market research to identify customer needs and preferences
    • Implementing customer relationship management systems to track sales activity
    • Assessing market competitiveness and recommending strategies for improvement
    • Participating in industry conferences and networking events
    • Developing and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders
    • Mentoring and coaching team members to maximize performance and career growth.

    Requirements

    • Proven track record in energy sector (power generation), utility scale projects.
    • Proven experience in proposals preparations (technical / economic / legal), including cost estimation
    • Design of storage systems, solar and/or hybrid power plants, gas power plants
    • Support sales team with scope of supply and pricing strategy, leading proposal preparation and manage RFP/RFQ response
    • Solid experience in pricing strategy, including renewables power plants, hybrid solutions, fuel consumption, engines efficiency
    • Availability to travel 50% of the time
    • Capability to work under pressure and closely with other areas of the company (supply chain, operations, finance, HR)
    • Experience in closing new contracts
    • Capable of read and draft electrical drawings
    • Knowledgeable in local utility systems and interconnection requirements for generators
    • Participate site visits, have meetings with clients and suppliers to support proposals preparation
    • Preferred existing relationships with regional EPCs and Key equipment suppliers
    • Medium-voltage system design and construction background is desirable
    • English / Spanish fluent: written, verbal and reading
    • Proven international experience executing work in Latin American countries
    • Strategic and analytical mindset
