    Team Introduction
    The AMS global accounting team is part of the Accounting and Reporting team. Our team covers the general accounting functions in the US, Canada, and LATAM. We are the owners of GL accounting and oversee the month-end closing process. We work across various accounting projects and provide technical support. We also support the year-end reporting and audit inquiries as required.

    Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly driven accounting manager who can move fast and learn quickly to help establish new processes and scale existing processes for our Brazil Infrastructure portfolio, especially the e-commerce operation.

    The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated.

    We are looking for passionate and talented people to join our Accounting team. Together we can build an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure, and intuitive for our users.

    You should be able to work well with cross-border colleagues and cross-functional teams and assist with the management and ownership of the end-to-end operational processes for the subject areas.

    The successful candidate will be a highly driven, focused individual who can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

    Responsibilities- Assist in the daily activities of accounting/e-commerce financial operations.- Assist in new accounting analysis on new product launching/accounting change.- Establish strong internal controls over e-commerce accounting operations including system configuration.

    - Research accounting implications (in collaboration with Bytedance's accounting headquarter team in Hong Kong) from changes in the business, stay up-to-date on changes in industry trends, and use the information to inform internal decisions.

    - Partner with the global accounting/reporting teams to operationalize the accounting relating to complex transactions.- Partner with the local accounting firms to finish local bookkeeping of e-commerce operations.- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.- Basic knowledge of local tax rules and accounting implications.

    - Work closely with reporting/tax teams to ensure compliance with the local GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies through effective communications and globally coordinated execution.

    Also, able to translate/apply GAAP/international policies to operationalize complex accounting issues, including assessing the design and/or effectiveness of internal controls.

    - Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, and assess operational implications for any relevant changes.


    • Strong knowledge of Financial reporting & Brazil local.
    • Financial statements auditing, financial accounting, or similar experience.
    • Local filing experience.
    • System implementation experience.
    • Analytical experience, including experience in Excel.
    • Applicable inhouse TMT industry experience.
    • Experience working with business partners and engineers to effect changes.
    • Experience in optimizing or redesigning existing processes resulting from business needs.
    • Great communication skills & proficiency in English.
    • CRC certification required. Preferred Qualifications
    • Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS.
    • Experience working with LATAM countries, familiar with LATAM accounting policies.
    • Experience with Oracle.
